Power Mech Projects secures Rs 579 crore contract from BHEL for major civil works

Power Mech Projects has recently informed exchanges that the company secured a significant ₹579 crore contract (excluding GST) from Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) for a comprehensive civil structural and architectural project at the 2×800 MW DVC Koderma (KTPS) Phase-II, Jharkhand.

This contract encompasses a wide range of works, including the levelling and grading of the entire power block area, covering the transformer yard, boiler, ESP, mill, bunker, fan foundations, chimney raft, paving works, and service buildings, along with parking, sewage lines, and civil works for LP piping and fire fighting.

The scope of the project also includes the construction of a rooftop solar system foundation, labor hutments for workers, rest rooms, and other essential infrastructure within the power block area. The order involves a complete overhaul of the civil works within the power house, including switchyard works, ventilation ducts, and fire protection systems.

The project is set to be executed within 32 months from the date of the Letter of Award (LOA). This major achievement reinforces Power Mech Projects’ position in the civil and structural sector, showcasing its expertise in handling large-scale, multi-faceted infrastructure projects for the power industry. With this order, Power Mech Projects continues to strengthen its portfolio and contribute significantly to the development of critical power infrastructure in India.
