Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) on Tuesday, May 20, said it has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a signalling and reliability enhancement project awarded by East Coast Railway.
According to the company’s exchange filing, the project involves “Provision of MSDAC to increase reliability in ABS section from MZY to KUR and at RJGR, JRZ, SSPR, DNKL, HND & TLHD stations of KUR division of East Coast Railway.”
The scope of work also includes alteration in electronic interlocking systems across multiple stations using systems supplied by Hitachi Rail STS India Pvt. Ltd., Medha Servo Drives and Siemens Rail Automation.
RVNL said the total value of the contract stands at Rs 164.18 crore. The order is domestic in nature and is expected to be executed within 18 months.
The company further clarified that the project falls under the normal course of business and that neither the promoter group nor related parties have any interest in the awarding entity.
