Power Grid Corporation of India secures 2 major projects under TBCB

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited POWERGRID) announced that it has been declared the successful bidder for two major projects under Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB). These projects are aimed at establishing a robust Inter-State Transmission System on a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) basis.

  1. Augmentation at KPS1 and KPS2 (Phase-V Part B1 and B2 Scheme)
    • Scope: Augmentation of transformation capacity at under-construction sub-stations in Gujarat.
  2. Augmentation at Bidar PS
    • Scope: Expansion with 3×500 MVA, 400/220kV ICTs (6th-8th) and 1×1500 MVA, 765/400kV ICT (4th) at the Bidar sub-station in Karnataka.
