PNC Infratech Limited has announced that its two subsidiaries, Varanasi Kolkata Highway Package 2 Private Limited and Varanasi Kolkata Highway Package 3 Private Limited, have received official communication from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) regarding the declaration of the Appointed Date for their respective highway projects under the Bharatmala Pariyojana.

Both projects are being executed on Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM):

  • Package 2 covers the Varanasi – Ranchi – Kolkata Highway from the junction with Chandauli Chainpur Road near Khainti village to the junction with Bhabhua-Adhaura Road near Palka village (Km 27+000 to Km 54+000). The construction period is 730 days, followed by a 15-year operation period.

  • Package 3 spans from the junction with Bhabhua-Adhaura Road in Bhairopur village to Konki village (Km 54+000 to Km 90+000, total length 36 km). This package also has a construction period of 730 days and a 15-year operation period.

The declaration of the Appointed Date, effective October 6, 2025, marks the formal commencement of construction activities for both highway projects, which are crucial for improving connectivity and infrastructure in Bihar.
