Paytm (One 97 Communications Limited), India’s leading payments and financial services company, has joined hands with the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to simplify property tax collection. This initiative involves the deployment of over 400 innovative Paytm All-In-One EDC Devices (Card Machines) across multiple collection centers and door-to-door tax collection services.

These advanced Paytm Card Machines enable residents to pay their property tax effortlessly using credit cards, debit cards, and Paytm’s pioneering QR codes, eliminating the need for cash, cheques, or demand drafts. Integrated with the GHMC app, the machines allow officials to check pending dues, process instant payments, and issue on-the-spot confirmation slips, ensuring a seamless and efficient transaction experience.

With this integration, GHMC has significantly improved tax collection efficiency. On average, GHMC collects ₹5-7 crore in property tax per month, with figures rising to ₹22 crore during mid-year and fiscal year-end periods.

Paytm continues to revolutionize digital payments with customer-centric innovations, including UPI statement downloads (PDF & Excel), UPI Trading Blocks for direct stock trade payments, and the ‘Receive Money QR Widget’ for instant payments. Additionally, Paytm users can check UPI-linked bank balances, make transactions via UPI, UPI Lite, RuPay Credit Card linking, and net banking.

Expanding its global footprint, Paytm now facilitates UPI payments in the UAE, Singapore, France, Mauritius, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and Nepal, reinforcing its position as a leader in digital transactions. With continuous innovations, Paytm remains at the forefront of India’s digital payment evolution.
