National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, has launched its new IA91 Grade Aluminium Alloy Ingot, expanding its value-added product portfolio in line with evolving industry demand. The product was formally unveiled at NALCO’s Kolkata Stockyard by Shri Anil Kumar Singh, Director (Commercial), in the presence of senior officials.

IA91 is a high-performance, silicon-based casting alloy engineered to deliver an optimal balance of castability, mechanical strength, and corrosion resistance. The alloy has been specifically developed to support advanced casting applications, making it suitable for gravity die casting and low-pressure die casting processes.

With growing demand for durable and lightweight materials, IA91 Grade Aluminium Alloy is positioned to serve critical applications across the automotive, electrical and power equipment, industrial manufacturing, and foundry sectors. Its improved casting characteristics are expected to enhance production efficiency while maintaining structural integrity in end-use components.

Shri Brijendra Pratap Singh, CMD, stated that the introduction of IA91 reflects NALCO’s continued focus on product innovation and its commitment to delivering high-quality, value-added aluminium solutions to domestic and global markets. The expanding alloy portfolio aligns with the company’s broader strategy to strengthen its presence in specialized aluminium segments.
