Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd has announced a leadership transition in its finance function, with the Board approving the appointment of Sriram Kumar as Chief Financial Officer effective November 1, 2025. The change follows the resignation of outgoing CFO Avinash Bapat, who will move into a new role within the Mahindra Group after the close of business on October 31, 2025 .
According to the company’s exchange filing, the transition supports Mahindra’s internal talent development philosophy. Kumar currently serves as Vice President – Financial Planning & Analysis, Costing and Investor Relations and brings over 16 years of experience in private equity and M&A, including prior roles at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. He joined the Mahindra Group in 2022 and has worked on key fundraising and investment transactions across group entities .
He will report to Mahindra Lifespace Managing Director & CEO Amit Kumar Sinha and will also serve as an authorised official for material disclosures under SEBI regulations. Bapat, who has been associated with the Mahindra Group since 2003 and was recognised among India’s Top 100 CFOs in 2020, will transition to the role of Group FP&A Leader at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.
The Board formally approved the changes at its meeting held on October 31, 2025, which concluded at 6:16 PM IST.
