LODHA Group, a leading name in India’s real estate industry with over 40 years of excellence, has filed a lawsuit against House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL) for trademark infringement and passing off. The brand, built on a legacy of quality, trust, and superior governance, is facing confusion in the marketplace due to HoABL’s deceptive marketing strategies that closely mimic LODHA’s name and identity.
Despite LODHA Group’s strong brand reputation, customers have reported confusion regarding the association between the two entities. This confusion is impacting the company’s stakeholders, including consumers and investors. As a result, LODHA Group has filed a suit in the Bombay High Court to protect its intellectual property rights (IPR), seeking injunctions, damages, and other legal remedies.
The legal action aims to safeguard LODHA’s valuable brand identity, ensuring that no other business can mislead consumers by adopting a name too similar to its own. With renowned global investors and India’s largest charitable organizations as shareholders, LODHA Group remains committed to protecting its brand and upholding its legacy in the real estate industry.
