Kernex Microsystems (India) Limited has announced that the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India (DFCCIL), New Delhi, has awarded the company (in consortium) a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for a major railway safety project. The order is valued at ₹209.82 crore (including 18% GST).

The project covers the Survey, Design, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of KAVACH (Train Collision Avoidance System), along with towers and other associated works, across 931 km of the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor between New Boraki–New Khurja, New Bhaupur–New Unchdih, and New Sonnagar.

The completion timeline for this project is 730 days (2 years) from the date of LoA. With this order, the company’s cumulative orders received, along with consortium and partners, from April 1, 2024, till date stand at ₹3,346.35 crore (including GST).

KAVACH is Indian Railways’ indigenously developed Automatic Train Protection (ATP) system designed to enhance safety and prevent collisions. This large order strengthens Kernex Microsystems’ role in deploying advanced railway safety technologies across India.
