JSW Energy subsidiary completes acquisition of 125 MW RE Assets

JSW Neo Energy Limited (JSW Neo), a fully-owned subsidiary of JSW Energy Limited, has successfully acquired 125 MW of renewable energy assets from Hetero Labs Limited and Hetero Drugs Limited. These assets, housed under three Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), are located in Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.

The wind energy projects have long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) with a blended tariff of ₹5.22/kWh and an average remaining plant life of approximately 15 years. This acquisition aligns with JSW Energy’s growth strategy, boosting its locked-in capacity to 24.7 GW, supported by a diverse energy mix and reliable offtakers.

The transaction values the portfolio at an enterprise valuation of around ₹630 crore, excluding net current assets and adjustments under the Share Purchase Agreements (SPAs).

In the meantime, JSW Energy shares closed at ₹542.45 today, down from the opening price of ₹557.90. The stock reached an intraday high of ₹560.00 and a low of ₹536.65. It remains well below its 52-week high of ₹804.90 but above the 52-week low of ₹451.65
