JSW Energy achieves 20 GW capacity milestone, secures 445 MW C&I projects

JSW Energy is driving the renewable energy (RE) revolution in the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) power sector, securing a locked-in generation capacity of 20 GW. This includes 3.1 GW of C&I-focused RE capacity, with 2,654 MW for JSW group captive needs and 445 MW for third-party C&I use. Currently, the company operates 488 MW of C&I capacity.

Recent Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with DCM Shriram Ltd and Indus Towers Ltd highlight JSW Energy’s commitment to delivering sustainable energy solutions, reinforcing its position as a renewable energy leader.

With 7.7 GW of operational capacity across thermal, hydro, and RE, JSW Energy targets 10 GW operational capacity by FY 2025. The company is also investing in 16.2 GWh of energy storage through battery and hydro pumped storage systems, aiming for 40 GWh of storage and 20 GW generation capacity by 2030.

Aligned with its vision, JSW Energy is on track to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, setting benchmarks for sustainability and innovation in clean energy.
