In a significant development for India’s renewable energy landscape, Inox Wind Limited (IWL)—a key player in the wind energy solutions sector—has secured a 51 MW order from First Energy Private Limited (FEPL), a part of the Thermax Group. FEPL is widely recognized for its work in the commercial and industrial (C&I) renewable energy space.
This marks the first-ever collaboration between IWL and FEPL. As part of the deal, IWL will supply its advanced 3 MW wind turbines, featuring a 140-meter hub height and 145-meter rotor diameter—tailored for high efficiency and performance. The turbines will be installed at FEPL’s upcoming wind project site in Tamil Nadu, which is being developed via its special purpose vehicle (SPV), First Energy 10 Private Limited.
Alongside the turbine supply, Inox Wind will also provide limited scope EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) services, including site supervision. After the project is commissioned, the company will take care of multi-year operations and maintenance (O&M) through its subsidiaries, ensuring long-term support and turbine performance.
