Happiest Minds Technologies Limited has clarified that the recent increase in H-1B visa fees in the US will have a negligible impact on its operations and business outlook.
Joseph Anantharaju, Co-Chairman & CEO of Happiest Minds, said the company’s minimal use of H-1B visas sets it apart in the industry. “In CY 2024 and CY 2025 to date, we had just 4 and 2 Happiest Minds, respectively, travel to the US on H-1B visas. This is in line with our strategy to have a larger offshore footprint while reducing visa dependencies. I would like to call this our ‘H-1B Outlier Advantage’,” he noted.
Managing Director Venkatraman Narayanan added that the company’s offshore-centric delivery model, with 94% of employees based in India and nearly 95% of revenues generated outside US onsite operations, ensures resilience against such regulatory changes. “Our offshore centricity is a key differentiator. We expect the proposed visa fee increase to have negligible impact on our business. Our future utilization of H-1B visas will be guided purely by expertise and economics,” he said.
Happiest Minds, an AI-led customer-first digital engineering company, continues to strengthen its global presence across the Americas, UK, Europe, Australia, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. As of June 2025, it reported annualized revenues of over $270 million, a workforce of more than 6,500 employees across 43 offices, and 280+ customers, including 85+ billion-dollar corporations.
