Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (GSFC) has commissioned a new sulphuric acid manufacturing plant at its Fertilizernagar complex in Vadodara, strengthening its chemical production capabilities. The company has confirmed that commercial production at the facility commenced on 07 January 2026.

The newly commissioned plant has an installed manufacturing capacity of 600 metric tonnes per day (MTPD) of sulphuric acid. With the start of commercial operations, the unit is expected to support GSFC’s downstream fertilizer and chemical manufacturing processes while improving operational efficiency at the Fertilizernagar site.

The development has been disclosed in accordance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, read with the SEBI Master Circular dated 11 November 2024. The commissioning marks a key operational milestone for the company and reflects its ongoing focus on capacity addition and infrastructure enhancement within its core manufacturing hubs.
