Goa Carbon announces temporary shutdown of Bilaspur unit for urgent maintenance

Goa Carbon Limited has announced a temporary shutdown of its Bilaspur Unit in Chhattisgarh, India, starting January 14, 2025. The closure is due to urgent maintenance work at the facility located in the Sirgitti Industrial Area, Bilaspur. The company has informed the relevant exchange about the shutdown, which aims to address critical maintenance issues.

In the exchange filing, the company shared, “We wish to inform the Exchange that the operations at the Company’s Bilaspur Unit located at 34-40, Sector B, Sirgitti Industrial Area, Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh) has been temporarily shut down for urgent maintenance work from today, 14th January 2025.”

The maintenance work is expected to ensure the continued efficiency and safety of the operations at the Bilaspur unit.

In the meantime, Goa Carbon shares opened at ₹616.90, reaching a high of ₹630.00 and a low of ₹610.05 during the trading session. The stock’s 52-week high stands at ₹1,009.00, while its 52-week low is ₹594.15. As of 12:44 PM, the shares were trading 1.52% higher at Rs 618.95.
