Dalmia Bharat notified the exchanges that on September 3, 2024, Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited (‘DCBL’), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, entered into a Share Subscription and Shareholders agreement (‘SSSHA’) to acquire 26.00% of Truere Surya Private Limited’s equity share capital. This amount consists of 4,48,00,000 equity shares, totalling Rs. 44,80,00,000/- (Rupees Forty-Four Crore Eighty Lakhs only), in one or more tranches.
This acquisition aims to source solar power as a captive consumer for a capacity of up to 128 MW in Tamil Nadu.
As per the filing, the company shared that the transaction is subject to customary conditions precedents and expected to be completed within 4-6 months.
