India’s drone ecosystem is undergoing a structural transformation, moving beyond pilot projects and controlled trials into large-scale, real-world deployment across agriculture, logistics, surveillance, security and enterprise operations. Government-backed initiatives such as Drone Didi Scheme, Drone Shakti Mission and Mukhyamantri Shetkari Drone Yojana are playing a pivotal role in accelerating adoption. These programs are helping drones transition from niche technology tools to core components of India’s operational and digital infrastructure.

In line with this national push, Creative Newtech Limited (NSE: CNL, BSE: 544631) has entered into a strategic business agreement with Passenger Drone Research Limited (PDRL) to support pan-India distribution and market expansion of PDRL’s indigenous drone components and software platforms. Under the agreement, Creative Newtech will act as a Business Growth Partner, leveraging its nationwide distribution network and strong enterprise relationships to expand the reach of PDRL’s solutions across key sectors.

The partnership is designed to strengthen adoption in agriculture while also tapping into emerging opportunities in enterprise operations, logistics, surveillance and defense. As demand rises for compliant and regulation-ready drone platforms, the collaboration positions both companies to support scalable and structured deployment aligned with India’s indigenization goals.

Founded in 2018, PDRL has established itself as a leading indigenous DroneTech company with a fully integrated hardware and software ecosystem. The company holds an estimated 60% share of India’s drone software market and is trusted by over 120 OEMs nationwide. Over the past six years, its systems have successfully completed more than 30 lakh flight operations, reflecting strong operational reliability and regulatory compliance.

The agreement covers the distribution and market development of PDRL’s flagship offerings, including Ag++ Flight Controller, AeroFC V2 flight controller, NamoAG (Navigation for Modern Agriculture) and the AeroGCS software suite, which includes AeroGCS Config, Defence, Green, Orange and Enterprise editions. These solutions are QCI-compliant and aligned with India’s regulatory framework, enabling OEMs to meet certification and indigenization requirements efficiently.

PDRL currently powers nearly 60% of India’s agricultural drone OEMs and plays an active role in supporting government-led drone initiatives. With agriculture emerging as one of the most significant use cases for drone deployment in India, this collaboration is expected to enhance structured market expansion and deepen penetration in rural and enterprise segments.

For Creative Newtech, drones represent more than an additional product category. The segment aligns naturally with the company’s broader focus on surveillance, security, enterprise technology and mission-critical infrastructure. The strategic emphasis remains on building compliant, scalable systems that are ready for sustained deployment in sectors where reliability and regulatory adherence are critical.
