Blue Cloud Softech Solutions Ltd (BCSSL), a BSE-listed provider of AI-driven enterprise and cybersecurity solutions, has announced a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with ConnectM Technology Solutions Pvt Ltd for the joint development of a semiconductor-based EdgeAI System-on-Chip (SoC) focused on next-generation automotive cybersecurity.
Under the MoU, BCSSL will lead the architecture, design, and development of an advanced EdgeAI SoC platform that integrates real-time threat detection, intrusion prevention, and continuous security management. The semiconductor solution is being purpose-built for deployment in critical automotive electronics such as Telematics Control Units (TCUs), Vehicle Control Units (VCUs), and other modules used in electric, connected, and software-defined vehicles.
This collaboration marks a strategic expansion for BCSSL into automotive semiconductor development. The partnership combines BCSSL’s expertise in cybersecurity software, artificial intelligence, and secure systems with ConnectM’s strengths in automotive-grade hardware design, diagnostics, and OEM integration. While the EdgeAI SoC will be exclusively customized for ConnectM’s onboard automotive hardware platforms, BCSSL will retain ownership of the core intellectual property related to semiconductor design and cybersecurity technologies.
As per the MoU, the companies have agreed to a revenue-sharing model with an equal 50:50 split of net revenues generated from joint commercialization, after applicable costs and taxes. Subject to definitive agreements, the partnership is expected to generate a projected business volume of around USD 50 million over a five-year period from 2026 to 2030, indicating a long-term commercial roadmap for both parties.
The jointly developed EdgeAI semiconductor solutions will be engineered to comply with key global automotive safety and cybersecurity standards, including ISO/SAE 21434 for road vehicle cybersecurity, UNECE WP.29 regulations R155 and R156, and ISO 26262 for functional safety, along with other applicable international and Indian regulatory requirements. This focus on compliance is intended to ensure that the SoC platforms are production-ready, certifiable, and suitable for deployment across global automotive markets.
