Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (ONGC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore joint projects and collaborations in the field of New and Renewable Energy. This partnership will focus on innovative technologies such as Fuel Cells, Electrolysers, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
The MoU is a significant step in advancing India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission and furthering the country’s transition towards sustainable energy sources. By leveraging their combined strengths, BHEL and ONGC aim to spearhead developments in clean energy solutions, addressing the growing demand for green technologies.
The collaboration aligns with India’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality by adopting cleaner energy alternatives. Through this partnership, both companies will contribute to pioneering projects that promote renewable energy, thereby enhancing the nation’s energy security and sustainability.
The MoU was signed in the presence of prominent officials including Ms. Bani Varma, Director (Industrial Systems & Products) and Director (Engineering, R&D) at BHEL, and Shri Arunangshu Sarkar, Director (Strategy and Corporate Affairs) at ONGC. This move reinforces both organizations’ commitment to supporting the country’s green energy transition.
