Ahluwalia Contracts (India) Limited has secured a major construction order from Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation Ltd, marking a significant addition to its order book.
In an exchange filing, the company announced that it has been awarded an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for the construction and overall development of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra at Punauradham. The project site is located in Sitamarhi district of Bihar, which is traditionally believed to be the birthplace of Mother Sita.
The scope of work covers comprehensive civil construction and infrastructure development under the EPC model. The contract has been awarded by a domestic government entity and does not involve any promoter or group company interest, nor does it fall under related party transactions.
The total value of the project stands at Rs. 888.38 crore, inclusive of GST. As per the disclosed details, the execution timeline for the project is 42 months from the date of commencement.
This order strengthens Ahluwalia Contracts’ presence in large-scale public infrastructure and tourism-linked development projects. The project at Sitamarhi is expected to play an important role in boosting religious tourism in the region while contributing to long-term economic and infrastructure development in Bihar.
