Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) announced on October 30, 2024, that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Five Limited, has entered into power purchase agreements (PPAs) with the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for the supply of 5 GW (5,000 MW) of solar power. This agreement strengthens Adani Green’s position as a leading renewable energy provider in India.

The executed copies of the agreements were received at 2:00 p.m. on October 30, 2024, marking a significant milestone in Adani Green’s expansion strategy within the renewable energy sector. The agreement aligns with AGEL’s commitment to accelerating India’s transition to sustainable energy sources by contributing a substantial solar power capacity to Maharashtra’s electricity grid.
