Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), India’s largest renewable energy company, reported robust operational growth in Q1 FY26, underscoring its industry-leading momentum in clean energy capacity, power generation, and ESG performance.

Adani Green Energy reported a 45% year-on-year (YoY) increase in operational capacity for the first quarter of FY26, reaching 15,816 MW. This growth includes a greenfield addition of 4,882 MW over the past year, with 1,600 MW added during Q1 alone.

The company also reported a 42% YoY rise in energy sales, reaching 10,479 million units for the quarter. The growth in output is attributed to the ongoing expansion in capacity and consistent plant availability across portfolios.

In Q1 FY26, AGEL’s solar portfolio achieved a capacity utilisation factor (CUF) of 28.0%, with 99.3% plant availability. The wind segment recorded a CUF of 42.3% with 95.5% availability, while the hybrid portfolio registered a CUF of 43.9% supported by 98.6% availability.

AGEL continues to see a steady rise in power generation, with a compound annual growth rate of 45% over the past five years. A larger share of merchant power is contributing to this trend.

As of Q1 FY26, AGEL maintains its position as India’s largest renewable energy operator with 15.8 GW of operational capacity. The company has also received recognition in multiple ESG assessments, including top rankings in FTSE Russell ESG scores for the Alternative Electricity subsector and strong scores from NSE Sustainability Ratings and Crisil ESG Ratings.
