Cera Sanitaryware has been issued a demand order by the Deputy Commissioner of Gudur, Chittoor, , totalling ₹44,58,234. This order pertains to the financial year 2019-2020 and includes a tax demand of ₹20,21,225 and a penalty of ₹24,37,009.

The order, received on 30th March 2026, alleges that has short-paid taxes and availed excess Input Tax Credit under the CGST Act, 2017 and the corresponding section of the Andhra Pradesh Act, 2017. Despite the demand, Cera Sanitaryware has stated that there is no material impact on its financials, operations, or other activities.

Cera Sanitaryware has expressed its intention to contest the demand, indicating that it believes the order is not maintainable. The company is in the process of preparing an appeal against the decision.
