Camikara, a premium rum by Piccadily Agro Industries, has achieved significant recognition at two prestigious international rum competitions.
Camikara 8-Year-Old was awarded the ‘Master Medal’ at the Global Rum & Cachaça Masters Awards 2026 in the UK, the highest distinction in the competition. Additionally, the Camikara 3-Year-Old secured its second consecutive ‘Gold Medal’ at the same event. In the United States, Camikara 8YO received a ‘Double Gold’ Medal in the Aged Rum category tasting by The Fifty Best, while Camikara 3YO also earned a ‘Gold’ in the International blend category.
These accolades highlight Camikara’s emergence as a serious contender in the global premium rum market, marking a significant moment for Indian rum. Shalini Sharma, Head of Marketing at Piccadily Agro Industries, noted the historical resonance of this achievement, emphasising the shift in perception of Indian spirits from industrial-scale production to artisanal craft.
