Bajaj Electricals Limited has announced a significant reduction in a demand following a favourable appeal order. The Joint Commissioner, , , issued the revised order on 22 April 2026, which the company received the same day.

Originally, the Deputy Commissioner, STU-1, Secunderabad, Telangana, had raised a total demand of ₹83.78 lakh, including a general penalty of ₹8.38 lakh, due to an alleged disallowance of GST input credit for the financial year 2018-19. However, the recent appeal order has revised this demand down to ₹3.61 lakh, with a reduced general penalty of ₹0.33 lakh.

The management of has accepted the revised demand and has indicated that it does not intend to pursue any further appeals. The company stated that the financial impact of the appeal order would be limited to the revised demand and penalty, and there would be no effect on its operational, financial, or other activities.

This development follows an earlier communication from the company on 1 May 2024, when it first informed stakeholders about the initial assessment order issued on 30 April 2024.
