Adani Power Limited has secured a Letter of Award from Limited for the supply of 1,600 MW of thermal power under a long-term agreement.

The agreement, which emerged from a competitive bidding process, will see supplying electricity at a tariff of ₹5.30 per kWh. The 25-year Power Supply Agreement is set to commence in the financial year 2030-31. This achievement is part of Adani Power’s broader strategy to support India’s thermal power capacity expansion, with the company having secured five long-term agreements totalling 10,400 MW in FY25-26.

Adani Power’s CEO, , highlighted the importance of the agreement in meeting India’s rising power demands, emphasising the company’s commitment to providing reliable and affordable electricity. The company is also undertaking significant capacity expansion, aiming to increase its thermal power capacity from 18.15 GW to 41.87 GW by FY31-32, with investments of approximately ₹2 lakh crore.
