Industry sources on Wednesday confirmed that Gujarat State Petroleum Corp (GSPC) is seeking a liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo to be delivered in January.
Sources said, “They are seeking for the cargo to be on a delivered basis for January 5 to January 9 delivery in a tender that will be closed on November 20 and is valid until November 21.” The source further added that the GSPC is seeking for the cargo to be either on a fixed price basis or indexed to the Japan-Korea-Marker (JKM) pricing.
Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Ltd (GSPC) Group is a group of oil and gas exploration, production, and distribution companies based in Gujarat, India. It is India’s only State Government-owned oil and gas company with the Government of Gujarat holding approximately 95% equity stake. GSPC was incorporated in 1979 as a petrochemical company. GSPC has made one of India’s largest gas finds in the Krishna Godavari Basin. It has also built the country’s first land-based drilling platform, Ratnakar, at Hazira. GSPC has also exploration activities in Egypt, Yemen, Indonesia, and Australia.
