The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Indian Institute of Management Sirmaur have announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing educational opportunities in accounting and finance, marking a step toward strengthening global standards in the profession.

The signing was officiated by Prabhanshu Mittal, ACCA’s Head of Educational Partner Relationships – India, and Prafulla Agnihotri, Director, IIM Sirmaur.

The partnership embodies a joint commitment to elevating accountancy and finance education by providing students access to globally recognised qualifications and fostering excellence in academic and professional development. ACCA, a globally recognised professional accountancy body, and IIM Sirmaur, known for its academic excellence, aim to transform the learning experience for aspiring finance professionals.

As part of the MoU, the collaboration will focus on conducting Train-the-Trainer workshops to enhance faculty capabilities aligned with global standards, organising joint conferences and seminars to promote thought leadership, delivering student engagement sessions on global career pathways and professional skills, and creating platforms for industry-academia interaction to improve employability outcomes.

This partnership reinforces the shared vision of both institutions to drive innovation and excellence in finance education and prepare professionals for a rapidly evolving global landscape.
