Godawari Power and Ispat Limited’s wholly owned subsidiary, Godawari New Energy Private Limited (GNEPL), has entered into a significant supply agreement with Shanghai Shenyi Roche Energy Technology Limited. The agreement, signed on 23 April 2026, involves the supply of the Balance of System for a 5 Mwh DC Block on a CKD basis. This forms part of the first phase of GNEPL’s ambitious 20 GWII Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project located in Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra.
The collaboration with Roche Energy, a company based in the Republic of China, is set to provide GNEPL with a stable, reliable, and cost-effective supply chain. This agreement ensures consistent quality for GNEPL’s operations, marking a major milestone in their efforts to manufacture BESS.
Roche Energy is renowned for its expertise in BESS product design, manufacturing, material supply, and technology support. The company specialises in the design and construction of energy storage stations for various sectors, including the source, grid, and user sides. Additionally, Roche Energy is proficient in offering integrated solutions for a wide range of energy storage systems, managing the entire lifecycle from design to production.
The strategic partnership between GNEPL and Roche Energy is expected to bolster the manufacturing capabilities of Godawari Power and Ispat Limited, as they continue to expand their footprint in the energy storage sector.
