Himadri Speciality Chemical has commenced operations at its first anode material production facility in Mahistikry, Hooghly, West Bengal. The facility, which has an initial installed capacity of 200 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA), marks a significant milestone for the company in the production of Lithium-ion battery components.
The new facility is the result of over a decade of in-house research and development, covering the entire anode technology value chain from raw material processing to finished anode material. This development enhances Himadri’s capabilities in advanced battery materials, positioning the company to meet the growing global demand driven by electric vehicles and energy storage systems.
The production process at the facility is designed to accommodate alternative raw material feeds, ensuring scalability and long-term resilience as market conditions evolve. This addition is expected to bolster Himadri’s production capabilities and contribute to revenue growth in the future.
