Shyam Metalics and Energy Limited, a prominent integrated metal producer in India, has announced the expansion of its facility with the addition of new equipment. This strategic move is aimed at enhancing production capabilities to meet the increasing demand.

The company has successfully commissioned two new annealing furnaces at the Pakuria site. These furnaces, with capacities of 25 MT per annum and 30 MT per annum, are expected to streamline the annealing process, thereby improving production efficiency. The new installations are anticipated to ensure better consistency in output and enhance overall product quality.

In addition to the annealing furnaces, has also commissioned a 2300 mm (LGSS). This advanced equipment is designed to facilitate the precise separation of Ultra-Light Gauge (ULG) and Light Gauge (LG) foil, accommodating thicknesses ranging from 6 to 15 microns. This capability will enable the company to cater to customers with specialised requirements more effectively.

These upgrades are expected to bolster process control and strengthen manufacturing capabilities at the Pakuria unit. They align with Shyam Metalics’ efforts to expand its value-added product offerings and enhance its competitive edge in the market.
