NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Ltd, has declared the commercial operation of 150 MW solar capacity from its 300 MW solar project in Rajasthan, according to an exchange filing dated April 16, 2026.
The company stated that the 150 MW capacity, part of the larger 300 MW solar project under Project Sixteen Renewable Power Private Limited—a step-down subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited—has been commissioned with effect from April 18, 2026.
Following the addition, the total installed capacity of NTPC Green Energy Limited Group is set to increase to 10,276.40 MW from the current commercial capacity of 10,126.40 MW.
Separately, NTPC Ltd informed that with this commissioning, the overall installed capacity of the NTPC Group stands at 89,528 MW, while its commercial capacity is at 88,448 MW.
The development marks another step in NTPC’s renewable energy expansion strategy, as the company continues to scale up its green energy portfolio in line with India’s energy transition goals.
