The order, dated 27 March 2026 and received by the company on 6 April 2026, pertains to an alleged short payment of tax for the financial year 2018-19. The appeal order raises a gross demand of ₹3.45 crore, which includes a penalty amount of ₹31.53 lakh.

The issue stems from a discrepancy between the company’s GSTR 1 and GSTR 3B filings for the said financial year. The Appellate Authority did not consider the submissions made by , resulting in the adverse order.

Bajaj Electricals is currently evaluating its legal options, which may include filing an appeal before the appropriate appellate tribunal or a writ petition before the High Court. The company has stated that the financial impact of the order, if it materialises, would be limited to the demand raised and the penalty levied. Importantly, the company clarified that there is no impact on its operational, financial, or other activities due to this order.
