KPI Green Energy Limited has commenced power generation and supply from its 200 MW AC (240 MW DC) grid-connected solar power project in Gujarat, marking a key operational milestone for the company. The project was awarded through a competitive bidding process by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited and is backed by a long-term Power Purchase Agreement, with GUVNL serving as the sole off-taker.

The solar project has successfully achieved grid synchronization, and initial power injection into the Gujarat state grid has already begun. With generation now underway, the project is expected to contribute steadily to KPI Green Energy Limited’s revenue stream. The long-term contracted tariff under the PPA provides visibility on cash flows, supporting financial stability over the project’s operating life.

This commissioning holds additional significance as it is among the first solar power projects to become operational in the 1.8 GW solar park being developed by Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited in the South Block of Khavda. The Khavda solar park is one of India’s largest renewable energy hubs and plays a strategic role in Gujarat’s plans to scale up clean energy capacity and strengthen grid reliability.
