BASF has announced its Q2 performance, reflecting a softer quarter as both revenue and profitability came under pressure on a year-on-year basis. The company posted a net profit of ₹107 crore, which is about 16.4% lower than the ₹128 crore reported in the same period last year. This decline highlights the impact of higher input costs and slower demand across key segments.
The topline also weakened, with revenue slipping 5% to ₹404.5 crore compared with ₹424 crore a year ago. The moderation in sales volumes, along with persisting pricing pressure in certain product categories, contributed to the contraction in revenue.
Operating performance followed a similar trend. EBITDA fell to ₹16.3 crore from ₹20.3 crore last year, marking a 20% decline. The EBITDA margin eased to 4% from 4.8% a year earlier.
