Kieron Pollard turned back the clock with a breathtaking display of power-hitting in the Caribbean Premier League 2025, smashing seven sixes in eight balls to stun the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in Tarouba. Playing for the Trinbago Knight Riders, Pollard raced to his fifty off just 21 deliveries, finishing the sequence with a trademark strike that brought up the milestone.
The carnage began in the 15th over when Navian Bidaisee was taken apart for two towering sixes in three balls. Pollard followed up with a brutal 93-metre hit straight down the ground before pulling another over deep square leg to make it 19 runs off the over.
He wasn’t done yet. Facing Waqar Salamkheil in the very next over, Pollard cleared the ropes off four consecutive deliveries — smashing a googly straight over the bowler, hoisting over long-off, drilling through long-on, and launching another to complete a hat-trick of sixes. The flurry powered him to 54 off 21 balls at a strike rate above 250, with eight sixes already in his innings.
Over-by-ball breakdown of Pollard’s seven sixes:
-
14.3 – Flighted delivery onto off, Pollard swung hard and cleared deep mid-wicket.
-
14.4 – Tossed up and wide, Pollard stepped down the track and launched it 93 metres down the ground.

Together with Nicholas Pooran, who was batting on 39 off 28 balls at the time, Pollard lifted TKR to 143 for 3 after 16 overs. The partnership of 65 runs from just 33 balls left the Patriots searching for answers.
Pollard’s fireworks not only electrified the Brian Lara Stadium but also underlined why he remains one of the most feared finishers in the format, capable of changing the game in a matter of overs.
