Kirloskar Brothers Q1 Results: Revenue down 5% to Rs 979 crore, Net Profit flat

Kirloskar Brothers Ltd. (KBL) reported a consolidated net profit of ₹70.5 crore for the first quarter of FY26, marking a slight decline from ₹70.7 crore recorded in the same quarter last year. On a sequential basis, profit also dipped from ₹123.6 crore posted in Q4FY25, reflecting a normalization after a strong year-end quarter.

The company’s total revenue from operations came in at ₹979 crore in Q1FY26, down from ₹1,030.9 crore in Q1FY25, showing a modest year-on-year decline. Including other income, the total income stood at ₹994.9 crore, compared to ₹1,046.2 crore in the same quarter last year.

On the expenditure front, total expenses stood at ₹896.3 crore, lower than the ₹946.3 crore incurred in Q1FY25. This helped KBL maintain a healthy operating performance, although profit before tax (PBT) for the quarter fell slightly to ₹98.3 crore versus ₹99.9 crore in the year-ago period.

The company incurred a tax expense of ₹27.8 crore, bringing the final profit for the period to ₹70.5 crore.

Despite the sequential decline, KBL’s performance remains stable and broadly in line with market expectations. The company ended FY25 with an annual net profit of ₹403.4 crore and revenue of ₹4,492.2 crore, establishing a strong foundation for the current fiscal year.
