On Wednesday, during the hearing of Richa Chadha’s defamation case against Payal Ghosh and others at the Bombay High Court, Payal’s lawyer told Justice A. K Menon that Ms. Ghosh is ready to apologise to Richa and will with her statement against her to settle the case, as reported by Times of India.
Payal had previously tweeted, “I have nothing to do with Ms. Chadda. We as women have got to stand with each other, shoulder to shoulder. I don’t want any unintentional harassment to her or me on this matter. My fight for justice is against only Mr. Kashyap & I want to focus solely on that right now. Let’s make the world see his true face.” Later, she tweeted again tweeted that “I am not apologizing to anyone. I have not wronged nor have I given a wrong statement about anyone. I just said what @anuragkashyap told me #SorryNotSorry.”
During the court session, Payal’s lawyer told the justice that she “innocently” made the statement against Richa Chadha. Reacting to this, Payal also replied to a user on Twitter saying, “no Payal Ghosh did not defame her. It was what Mr. Kashyap said about her, still want to blow it out of proportion, GIRL?”
