In the latest episode of Hollywood’s famous talent show, Dancing With the Stars, host Tyra Banks gracefully recollects herself from announcing the wrong “safe couple.” You know what safe means. That’s right. Safe from the danger of elimination.
The couple candidates for the evening were all assembled on the stage with fans eagerly waiting for results. In her last announcements of safe couples, she announced that Anne Heche and Keo Motsep were in danger along with Peta Murgatroyd and Vernon Davis. A few minutes later she had to clarify that Monica Aldama and Val Chmerkovskiy were in fact in danger while Davis and Murgatroyd were now made safe.
Obviously the experienced host, who even hosted X-Factor, felt absolutely embarrassed about the confusion but quickly gained composure saying, “There has been an error in our control room, but we’re making it happen. This is live TV, right?”
She later clarified on Twitter that the confusion was purely from the control room and not her fault. Her tweet read, “Wowzers. Live TV. Wrong name on cards. So challenging to deal with moments like these. But we power through.”

Later on her Instagram live video she said, “It’s really unfortunate that certain people thought they were safe and they weren’t, and they had to get called back. It’s a mess, but it’s my job as the host to keep the show going.”

The judges hastily chose to save Aldama and Chmerkovskiy while eliminating Heche and Motsep from the continuing.
