The earnings season picked up pace on Wednesday with Wipro announcing its Q4 numbers. The IT major reported a 25.9% YoY rise in net profit to ₹3,569.6 crore, while revenue from operations rose 1.3% YoY to ₹22,504.2 crore. Sequentially, profit rose 6.4% and revenue 0.8%.
However, Wipro’s Q1 FY26 guidance disappointed the Street. The company expects its IT services revenue to decline 1.5%-3.5% sequentially in constant currency terms, amid global uncertainties stemming from tariff disruptions and macroeconomic challenges.
“The guidance is baked into all the uncertainties that we see… the macro environment in the context of tariffs has created a lot of uncertainties to our clients,” said Srini Pallia, CEO and MD of Wipro, during the company’s earnings conference.
As the earnings unfold, investor focus will remain on Infosys, which is expected to post a muted performance amid soft global demand, and on commentary around client budgets and discretionary IT spending.
