In a significant boost to India’s ethanol blending mission and rural economy, Keyaan Distilleries Pvt Ltd inaugurated its 300 KLPD grain-based distillery in Uttar Pradesh, designed and engineered by Praj Industries Ltd. Inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the facility is scalable up to 500 KLPD and underscores the state’s commitment to green growth and energy security.
Spread over 30 acres, the state-of-the-art plant will produce fuel ethanol and rectified spirit from broken rice, maize, and corn. This project not only strengthens India’s ethanol blending roadmap but also creates over 1,200 direct and indirect jobs, empowering farmers through consistent demand for local grains.
CM Yogi praised the initiative for reducing crude oil imports, enhancing foreign exchange savings, and laying the groundwork for future fuels like Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). He hailed both Keyaan Distilleries and Praj Industries for building a world-class, environmentally sustainable facility aligned with Atmanirbhar Bharat.
