Ashok Leyland Limited reported a 6% year-on-year growth in total vehicle sales (domestic and exports combined) for March 2025, reaching 24,060 units, compared to 22,736 units in March 2024, as per the company’s exchange filing.

The company’s Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicle (M&HCV) segment led the performance. M&HCV bus sales surged 25% YoY to 4,019 units, while M&HCV truck sales rose 7% YoY to 13,019 units. This brought total M&HCV volumes to 17,038 units, reflecting a 10% growth from the same month last year.

However, the Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) segment saw a dip, declining 4% YoY to 7,022 units in March 2025.

On a cumulative basis for FY2025, Ashok Leyland sold 195,097 units, a marginal increase from 194,553 units in FY2024. While M&HCV bus volumes jumped 19%, the M&HCV truck segment saw a 3% decline. LCV sales remained relatively flat.
