IndianOil Corporation Limited has announced the appointment of Shri Suman Kumar as Director (Planning & Business Development) effective 26th February 2025.
Who is Shri Suman Kumar?
With over 30 years of experience at Indian Oil, Shri Suman Kumar brings extensive expertise in LPG Operations, Sales, Energy Conservation, and Carbon Emission Mitigation. He has spent 14+ years focusing on Business Development and Strategic Planning.
A Mechanical Engineer from MIT Muzaffarpur and an MBA graduate, he has undertaken specialized courses in Business Development and Advanced Management. Before assuming his new role, he headed the Exploration & Production (E&P) vertical, managing assets across India and nine overseas locations.
Shri Kumar played a crucial role in LNG sourcing, new project conceptualization, and the expansion of Petrochemical, City Gas Distribution, and Renewable Energy businesses at Indian Oil. He also serves as the Non-Executive Chairman of Mercator Petroleum Limited and holds key positions in various international joint ventures and subsidiaries.
