Apollo Micro Systems Limited (AMS) and Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited (GRSE) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for joint research, development, and supply of advanced weapons and electronic systems. This five-year partnership aims to enhance indigenous defence manufacturing capabilities in India, focusing on underwater weapons, vehicles, mines, communication systems, and air defence solutions.

The collaboration will leverage the manufacturing infrastructure of both companies to produce critical components and sub-assemblies for defence and non-defence applications. Additionally, it will support modernization and upgrade services for existing defence technologies to meet evolving operational requirements. The partnership is expected to strengthen India’s self-reliance in key defence sectors while opening new export opportunities for both firms.

Following the announcement, Apollo Micro Systems’ stock showed positive momentum as investors responded to the strategic importance of the agreement. Analysts believe that the tie-up with GRSE could significantly boost AMS’s order book and revenue potential in the coming years, given the increasing focus on defence indigenization and modernization in India.
