Afcons Infrastructure Limited, a leading infrastructure development company, has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from Uttarakhand Project Development and Construction Corporation Ltd. for the civil works associated with the construction of a 130.6-meter high concrete gravity dam and appurtenant works for the Song Dam Project across the River Song in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
The project, valued at ₹1,274 crore excluding GST, will be executed under the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) mode. The estimated completion period for the project is 60 months, with a focus on the construction of the gravity dam and associated infrastructure. The length of the dam will be 130.6 meters.
Afcons Infrastructure had been declared the lowest bidder for the project on September 28, 2024. However, due to the company’s listing on November 4, 2024, the intimation regarding its status as the lowest bidder (L1) was not applicable to the disclosure at that time.
The successful acquisition of this project marks another milestone in Afcons’ robust portfolio of infrastructure projects, reinforcing its commitment to contributing to key national development initiatives.
