Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Ratan Tata, former chairman of Tata Sons. In a heartfelt statement, Ambani called Tata’s death a significant loss not only for the Tata Group but for every Indian, emphasizing the profound impact Tata had on the nation and its business community.
Ambani shared his personal grief, describing Tata as a dear friend. “Each of my numerous interactions with him left me inspired and energized and enhanced my respect for the nobility of his character and the fine human values he embodied,” Ambani said.
He highlighted Tata’s legacy as a visionary industrialist and philanthropist who dedicated his life to the betterment of society. “Mr Tata took India to the world and brought the best of the world to Bharat. He institutionalized the House of Tata and made it an international enterprise, growing the Tata Group over 70 times since the time he took over as Chairman in 1991,” Ambani noted.
On behalf of Reliance Industries, Nita Ambani, and the Ambani family, he extended his condolences to the Tata family and the Tata Group, stating, “Ratan, you will always remain in my heart. Om Shanti.”
