It was first reported by Peepingmoon.com that Sidharth Malhotra has teamed up with Kabir Singh and Animal producer Murad Khetani for a rooted action drama produced by him and directed by Balwinder Singh Janjua. South Indian sensation Sreeleela was gonna be the leading lady in what was supposed to mark Sidharth’s first project to go on floors following the box office debacle of his hijack thriller, Yodha. But exactly two months later, the project has taken a complete U-turn.
As per the reports by Peepingmoon.com, the actor has backed out from the film, which has resulted in its complete shelving. It was scheduled to go on floors a month later in Uttarakhand.
The report added that Sidharth pulled out of the film because he had lost faith in the script and due to rumored creative differences with the director. Also, producers couldn’t find any studio on board to finance it, possibly because Sidharth’s box-office pull was going down, which might have been one of the reasons that the project got stuck forever.
Meanwhile, the actor is reportedly in talks to star alongside Saif Ali Khan in Race 4.
