The name of Skoda Auto’s next sub-compact SUV for India has been confirmed. Today (August 21), the automaker revealed the name of the vehicle along with the third teaser picture of the SUV.
Skoda has stated that the Kylaq SUV will make its Indian debut in 2025. The SUV is expected to be showcased for the first time early next year at the Bharat Mobility Show.
The Skoda Kylaq is the automaker’s first entry into the Indian sub-compact SUV market, which is now dominated by vehicles such as the Tata Nexon and Maruti Suzuki Brezza, among others. After the success of its first made-in-India SUV, the manufacturer revealed last year that it has begun the development of the Kylaq SUV to join the very competitive sector.
What to expect in Skoda Kylaq?
The most recent teaser video provides a side view of the Kylaq SUV. The SUV’s shape suggests of Kushaq-inspired design. Although not much is visible in the video, the SUV will have roof rails like its bigger sibling. Earlier teaser photographs revealed the Kylaq SUV’s front face and back. It will come with split LED headlights and LED DRL strips.
