Khel Khel Mein is the third film of Akshay Kumar in 2024 after Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Sarfira. Directed by Mudassar Aziz the film has actors Fardeen Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Ammy Virk, Aditya Seal and Pragya Jaiswal in the lead roles.

The film has got fairly good publicity since Fardeen is stepping back into the acting scene again after a long 14 years of absence. According to entertainment news report Khel Khel Mein have some issues to deal with its movie’s release in UAE. Fardeen’s scenes that depicted issues of sex were removed owing to censorship exercises that prevailed in a certain region.

To the question asked by Mid-Day, Mudassar Aziz said that he was saddened by the cut that was made on Meesha’s song. As such, he was frustrated when he saw comments on the UAE version of the movie that had cut out something so poignant and well depicted. Aziz added that it’s his job as a filmmaker and a duty he has to society and culture to build different characters and incite talk. That upset him a lot, but he was pleased when the scene was acclaimed in other countries.

Aziz went on to clarify that, by casting Fardeen, he wanted to take part in a much-needed conversation about acceptance. Some adjustments were made during the edits on the UAE but the fundamental aspects of the character were preserved and he still supports the messages brought by it.

Meanwhile, Khel Khel Mein was theatrically released on August 15.
