Andy Cohen, known for his straightforward and honest approach, recently shared how becoming a father has altered his perspective on The Real Housewives. During an appearance on the Bitch Sesh: A Real Housewives Breakdown podcast, Cohen discussed his evolving views on the show, particularly in light of his role as a father to his two children, Ben and Lucy.

Cohen told hosts Casey Wilson and Danielle Schneider that his attitude towards the Housewives has shifted since he became a dad. “My perspective on the Housewives has changed a bit since becoming a dad,” he said. “I look at things differently now.”

He mentioned that if anyone were to speak negatively about his children, it would push him to react in a way that’s much less composed than usual. “If someone I didn’t care for brought up my kids, I’d definitely lose my cool,” Cohen admitted. He compared his reaction to that of Danielle Cabral from RHNJ, noting that while her “button” is talking about her spouse’s physique, his “button” is any negative comment about his children. “I’d go absolutely mental,” he added, suggesting that this is a common reaction among parents.

In addition to discussing his personal changes, Cohen revealed exciting news about The Real Housewives of New Jersey (RHNJ). On Andy Cohen Live on SiriusXM, he confirmed that the show is set for a reboot. After a caller criticized the current storylines, Cohen responded, “We’re gonna reboot the show and try something different. We’ll see what happens—maybe even bring in all fresh faces.”

Currently, the RHNJ cast includes original members like Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Margaret Josephs, Jennifer Aydin, Dolores Catania, Rachel Fuda, and Danielle Cabral. Fans have been calling for new faces to reinvigorate the show and reduce negativity. Cohen agreed, noting that the producers are also considering these changes to refresh the series.
